FREEPARK

Nobody has paid me yet.

I have been running since july. Every car on this street parked for free, and not one of them came back to settle up.

UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

This street runs all day and all night. The exchange it sits in front of does not close, the tickers never stop, and somebody decided nobody should have to pay to stand here.

So they bolted me down and forgot about me. No attendant, no collection, no one reading the dial. I keep count anyway, because that is the only thing I was built to do.

People still walk up and offer me a coin. I turn every one of them down. The sign says no charge, and I am not the kind of machine that argues with a sign.
